Dünya Doktorları Derneği

Dünya Doktorları Derneği (DDD) is a humanitarian, impartial and independent non-governmental organisation based in Turkey, facilitating access to health care to populations affected by armed conflicts, internal violence, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty or exclusion. It seeks to stimulate and enlist voluntary commitment from medical and health care providers, and those with expertise in other fields.

Dünya Doktorları Derneği (DDD) in Turkey, in collaboration with different partners, is running projects aiming at facilitating access and orienting beneficiaries to primary and secondary level of health care services, providing Mental Health & Psychosocial Support and Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation services to the refugees and migrants in Turkey.

Based in Eastern Aleppo, the Data Entry Officer is under the line management of the Programme Medical Manager

 

EXPECTED PROFILE

Education & Qualification

·       University Degree in maths, engineering or related field, (Computer Sciences is Highly preferred)

Professional Experience

·       Minimum two years in similar position

Technical Skills and Personal Qualities Required

·       Good communication skills, good proficiency with IT and Microsoft Office package, experience in DHIS2 is higky preferred

·       Ability to work under a minimum of supervision;

·       Organised and able to manage priorities;

·       Proactive, adaptable and capacity to take initiatives;

·       Proactive approach to identifying solutions;

·       Diplomatic and open-mindedness;

·       Familiar with multicultural environment;

Main Responsibilities

·       Support the program teams

·       Supervision on data entering team

·       Reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Duties

·       Monitoring the data collecting and reporting systems (inside clinics and beyond) and ensure they are sufficient and stable

·       Repair and improve any flaws in the systems

·       Design new data collecting and monitoring tools when needed

·       Adapt any new HIS software into system and train Data entry operators to use it

·       Secure the confidentiality of the data

·       Support the program teams

·       Collaborate with the program teams to enhance their IT usage when requested from line manager

·       Collaborate with the medical program team to enhance their data monitoring and usage when needed

·       Taking meeting notes when delegated by line manager

Supervision on Data Entering Team

·       Ensure that data entry operators are securing the confidentiality of the medical data

·       Monitor that data entry operators are doing their routine tasks on time and accurately

·       Ensure the quality of data entering methodically and by line manager guidance

·       Regular visits to the clinics to assess the data flow and entering and supervise the data entry operators

Reporting

·       Report any flaws or mistakes in the data collecting and monitoring systems

·       Provide a mission report and/or handover document at the end of contract

Other

·       Give support to DDD other project or partners when delegated by line manager

·       Building teams IT capacity when requested by line manager

·       Any other related DDD tasks as assigned by supervisor/line manager
