Dünya Doktorları Derneği (DDD) is a humanitarian, impartial and independent non-governmental organisation based in Turkey, facilitating access to health care to populations affected by armed conflicts, internal violence, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty or exclusion. It seeks to stimulate and enlist voluntary commitment from medical and health care providers, and those with expertise in other fields.

Dünya Doktorları Derneği (DDD) in Turkey, in collaboration with different partners, is running projects aiming at facilitating access and orienting beneficiaries to primary and secondary level of health care services, providing Mental Health & Psychosocial Support and Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation services to the refugees and migrants in Turkey.

EXPECTED PROFILE

Knowledge & Qualification

·       University degree

Experience

·       Professional experiences, in a similar or equivalent position;

·       Proven experience in coordinating with stakeholders

Languages

·       Required: Arabic  (oral and written)

·       Preferred: English

IT & Equipment

·       Good proficiency with Microsoft package

Skills and Qualities required:

·       Diplomatic;

·       Flexibility and capacity of adapt to complex and changing contexts;

·       Ability to work in an international context and collaborate with international and national experts;

·       Familiar with multicultural environment;

·       Good communication skills

·       Good coordination and negotiation skills

Essential Duties

·       Supervise field activities;

RESPONSIBILITIES

Representation in front of local community, NGOs or any other stakeholders

·       The focal point and direct interlocutor of DDD towards community, local councils, landlords, NGOs/actors or any other stakeholders, for all issues related to DDD activities;

·       Represent DDD with any authorities inside and play the role of a bridge between Turkey and stakeholders on the field;

·       To participate in base and field team meetings

·       Supervision on field activities

·       To assist Snr Field Coordinator in regarding the implementation of DDD project activities in Eastern Aleppo;

·       To ensure respect of DDD procedures and security protocols by the team in field;

·       To participate in internal and external meetings in the field upon request;

·       To assist Snr Field Coordinator concerning all reporting for direct activities;

·       To ensure a regular and close coordination with Medical team in order to plan and forecast their needs;

·       Ensure in-time arrangements of the Medical teams needs with the support of logistics team in Turkey and Syria;

·       Follow up shipments with the support of Log team in Turkey and Log officer Eastern Aleppo;

·       Contribute to proposal and project report writings;

·       Conduct regular meetings with volunteering Health Committees to enhance communication and cooperation between DDD and local community/stakeholders;

·       Maintaining the map of project activities and updating it accordingly;

·       Participate to projects and strategy planning meetings and providing inputs;

·       Maintain regular contact with the key stakeholders in the field;

·       Negotiating with local stakeholders when and where requested to address the issues and collaboration;

·       Follow up on action plans identified in weekly meetings regarding activities;

·       Mapping of actors in DDD activities and other actors working in the area and updating the information;

·       Propose new ideas and modalities to improve the project activities implementation considering the security and contextual developments;

Context/Risk Management Follow up

·       Follow safety/ security and contextual development in Eastern Aleppo and submit a monthly update;

·       Reporting on incidents related to DDD, other NGO and/or potential threats to DDD activities/staff;

·       To remain focal person for the Log teams inside regarding security and safety issues and immediately relaying the information to Snr Field Coordinator in case of urgent issue;

·       Provide update on context in the weekly team meetings;

 Reporting

·       Provide regular reporting (monthly, weekly, etc.) on your activities to your Line Manager;

·       Provide your line manager with a Handover Report at the end of your contract;

·       Preparing monthly report for activities and incorporating it in the main report for Snr Field Coordinator;

·       Contributing to donor reporting related to project activities;

·       Any other report requested by Snr Field Coordinator;

·       Submitting ad-hoc reports for urgent issues;

Other

·       To provide English-Arabic translation/ interpretation when needed;

·       To perform any additional duties on instruction given by the Snr Field Coordinator related to DDD project in Syria;

·       Maintaining full confidentiality for all work-related information
