Medecins du Monde Turkey (MDM-T) / Dünya Doktorları Dernegi (DDD) is a Turkish based humanitarian non-governmental organisation that facilitates access to healthcare for populations affected by armed conflict, violence, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty and exclusion.

Our organization collaborates with partners and key stakeholders to implement projects that facilitate access to primary and secondary-level healthcare services to respond to the medical needs of displaced population.

Based in Eastern Aleppo, the Guard will be directly supervised by the Logistic Officer.

Status: Fixed-Term Contract

EXPECTED PROFILE

Knowledge & Qualification

·       Basic formal qualification 

Experience

·       1-year previous experience in similar capacity; 

Languages

·       Required: Arabic (oral and written).

·       Preferred: Turkish

Intellectual & Physical

  • Good knowledge of the area; 
  • Organisational and planning skills; 

 

Communication & Information Flow

·       Interpersonal and communication skills; 

·       Verbal and Internal reporting skills; 

General Skills and Qualities Required:

·        Diplomatic; 

·        Familiar with multicultural environment; 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety and Security 

·       Responsible for the security; 

·       Regular patrol; 

·       Inform the supervisor for missing or damaged items; 

·       Ensure all visitors (non DDD staff) are registered; 

·       Ensure cleanliness and orderly compound;  

·       Ensure that the security lights are in working condition; 

·       Assist in load/unloading trucks or vehicles, upon request; 

·       Ensure all doors of the building are closed and/or locked at night; 

·       Organize and follow up the logistic stock inside warehouse using stock cards. 

·       Follow up the movement of all items through stock cards and inventory report. 

·       Make monthly inventory report. 

·       Do verification for lists of inventories regularly, (physical count) using all DDD tools to manage inventory. 

·       Check and record all the received goods and put them in warehouse and under supervision of Line manager. 

·       Ensure that all items are organized and stored as well as possible (cleanliness, security, accessibility, serial numbers). 

·       Prepare and sign the Good Receive Note for all the procured materials 

Other related tasks 

·        Provide assistance to the team, when required; 

·        Participate in internal work meetings; 

·        Report any security related issues to the line manager; 

·        Maintaining full confidentiality for all work-related information; 

·        Assist in any other tasks related to the position, as required by DDD Management;

·         To perform any additional duties requested by the line manager.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within Dünya Doktorları Derneği and amongst beneficiaries served by Dünya Doktorları Derneği.
