Medecins du Monde Turkey (MDM-T) / Dünya Doktorları Dernegi (DDD) is a Turkish based humanitarian non-governmental organisation that facilitates access to healthcare for populations affected by armed conflict, violence, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty and exclusion. 

Our organization collaborates with partners and key stakeholders to implement projects that facilitate access to primary and secondary-level healthcare services to respond to the medical needs of displaced population.

**Hierarchical & Functional links**
Based in Hatay, the Clinical Psychologist is under the line management of the Field Manager and technically will be supervised by MHPSS Manager or Supervisor.

**Status:**    Fixed-Term Contract(with possible extension)

Knowledge & Qualification**
- University degree from psychology or psychological counselling
- Master’s degree from Clinical Psychology

- At least 2 years of significant experience in similar positions(preferably target groups of the organization; migrants and local people)
- Knowledge of reporting tools

- Required: Turkish (oral and written);
- Preferred: Arabic, English

**Coordinating Mental Health Activities**
•    Work with other related team members on the identified cases with MH issues;
•    Assist in the assessment of mental health needs and proposition of interventions in coordination with partners and the MEAL team & Protection Coordinator to improve or settle mental health coverage;

**Diagnosing and Treating MH Cases**
•    Provide appropriate mental health support and/or treatment through individual counselling, group therapy, and psycho-education to all beneficiaries in need;
•    Work directly with other related team members to develop individualized intervention plans and follow up at all levels.

**Developing Community MH Interventions**
•    Participate in defining effective and culturally appropriate approaches and interventions on the community level;
•    Focus on information dissemination and collecting opinions to foster knowledge and self-control of people living in the community and informal settlements;
•    Work on building and encouraging important support networks within and amongst the target population.

**Sensitisation and Capacity Building**
•    Prepare awareness/training sessions about MHPSS guidelines;
•    Train DDDs other related team members as well as partner’s staff and community members on MHPSS issues.

**Utilizing the Referral System Between Community and CMH Centre**
•    Assist in the development of effective referral systems between the community and related service providers;
•    Utilize the referral system to secondary mental health care.

**Analysis,Detection and Reduction of Risk Factors**
•    Explore and detect potential risk factors influencing mental health status of the target population;
•    When required, coordinate with other stakeholders to reduce and/or eliminate potential risk factors;
•    Participate in any intended MH research study and/or professional field assessment.  

**Developing and Performing Preventive Measures**
•    In collaboration with the mental health team, establish and implement innovative preventive mental health interventions such as art therapy, psychodrama, etc.   

•    Clinical documentation of all individual and group therapy activities;
•    Weekly reporting on mental health activities and collected data;
•    Report any security related issues to the line manager;
•    Conducting appropriate data entry for each case.
•    Filling DDD files depending on direct line explanation
•    Contribute to the situation reports when needed;
•    Provide a mission report and/or handover document at the end of contract.
•    Ensure the documentation of each activity is in line with donor requirements;

**Other Duties**
•    Participate in internal work meetings and inform DDD team on logistic issues;
•    When required participate in regular meetings with key actors;
•    Respect the privacy of the patients and the confidentiality;
•    Any other relevant duties requested by the line manager.
